Overview
Before this service, renewing a licence or registering a vehicle meant a visit to a government office, a queue and a paper form.
Together with a colleague, I helped build Jordan’s first electronic service for driver and vehicle licensing. A process that used to take a day can now be completed in minutes, from home.
It is used by hundreds of thousands of people, and it is one of the projects I am proudest of.
Outcome
- First electronic service for driver and vehicle licensing in Jordan
- Licence and vehicle processes available online, from home
- No office visit, queue or paper form for routine transactions
